About this event

We are pleased to announce that the HMS Division of Sleep Medicine 22nd Annual Sleep and Health Benefit will be returning to an in-person format in Boston, MA on October 16, 2023 — for the first time since 2019.

Daniel J. Buysse, M.D., FAASM UPMC Endowed Chair in Sleep Medicine and Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry, Clinical and Translational Science at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, will be awarded the 2023 Harvard Medical School Division of Sleep Medicine Prize for his contributions to the field of Sleep Medicine.

In conjunction with the awarding of the prize, the HMS Division of Sleep Medicine is hosting a collection of events on October 16th to celebrate and highlight the accomplishments of the Annual Prize Recipient as well as to showcase the research of trainees within the HMS Division of Sleep Medicine. We plan to have a Sleep Grand Rounds Annual Prize Lecture at Brigham and Women’s Hospital at noon. Our events will continue at the Harvard Club of Boston with an afternoon poster session, festive reception, and an evening fine-dining experience.

Your donations provide critical support for the educational mission of our Division of Sleep Medicine. Funds raised may be used to supplement funding for ongoing educational projects, or to seed new education-related projects. We are able to continue furthering educational outreach and collaboration with local institutions and organizations, community health organizations, as well as state and national regulatory agencies, legislators and government administrators. Your support also helps to sponsor our yearly Sleep and Health Benefit events, which bring together the Harvard Sleep Community and Friends - to celebrate the dynamism of sleep research at Harvard, the strength of our connections, and the vital importance of sleep education in improving health and safety of our communities. Our events also help to foster collaborations in research and science! Thank you for your support this year!
